Major League Baseball on Monday announced the umpiring crews that will work the first two rounds of the postseason.

For the American League Wild Card playoff between the Oakland Athletics and Kansas City Royals Tuesday at Kauffman Stadium, crew chief Gerry Davis will supervise James Hoye, Dan Iassogna, Bill Miller, Todd Tichenor and Bill Welke.

On Wednesday at PNC Park, crew chief Joe West will be in charge of the matchup between the San Francisco Giants and Pittsburgh Pirates along with umpires Doug Eddings, Paul Emmel, Andy Fletcher, Brian Gorman and Mark Wegner.

When the Los Angeles Angels take on the A’s-Royals winner in the American League Division Series, Ted Barrett will be the crew chief, with Lance Barksdale, Chris Guiccione, Paul Nauert, Jeff Nelson and Jim Reynolds working the series.

For the other ALDS between the Detroit Tigers and Baltimore Orioles, crew chief Jeff Kellogg will be joined by Scott Barry, Dan Bellino, Fieldin Culbreth, Paul Schrieber and Jim Wolf.

In the National League Division Series pitting the Washington Nationals against either the Giants or Pirates, Mike Winters will be the crew chief, with an umpiring crew of Vic Carapazza, Laz Diaz, Tom Hallion, Brian Knight and Hunter Wendelstedt.

When the Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals meet in the NLDS, Dale Scott is the crew chief, with Eric Cooper, Rob Drake, Jerry Layne, Jerry Meals and Alan Porter.

For the first time, expanded replay will be part of postseason play. Umpires Phil Cuzzi and Tim Timmons will be in New York for the wild card games, with CB Bucknor, Chris Conroy, Ed Hickox and Brian O’Nora working replay for the division series.

Much to the relief of fans of the 10 playoff teams, there was no mention of Angel Hernandez. That can’t be a bad thing.

The AL Wild Card will be broadcast on TBS, with the NL Wild Card on ESPN. TBS will have all of the ALDS games, with FOX Sports 1 and MLB Network teaming up to cover the NLDS.
