WINNER: Mike Glennon, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

While he was far from perfect, Mike Glennon made a strong case for keeping the starting job even when Josh McCown comes back from his thumb injury.

Whether Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Lovie Smith notices is beside the point—everyone else did.

Glennon found a way to make Vincent Jackson relevant again, and threw touchdowns both to Jackson and rookie Mike Evans, attacked downfield and generally made the offense look like it had life.

The jury is still out on his long-term viability but it seems clear that the Bucs should spend some time seeing whether he has any. We know McCown doesn’t.

At the very worst, Glennon might have made himself valuable to another team who needs a quarterback.
