NBA: 5 teams to watch on NBA League Pass
Cleveland Cavaliers
As a very thankful Miami Heat fan, I mean c’mon, seriously, how could I not watch the Cleveland Cavaliers this season?
There was no way I could leave them off of this list.
What All-Star on their team don’t they have? Any team with LeBron James becomes must watch television. I want to watch the Cavaliers for obvious reasons including seeing Kevin Love and James play together. One of the most important reasons I want to watch is because of Kyrie Irving.
The All-Star guard is only 22 years old and just had one of the best summers of his career when he won the 2014 FIBA World Cup MVP. I am excited to watch Irving play because he performs as the best player on team on rosters that have a bunch of talent. Since high school and routinely in his career Irving has shown this, going back to the All-Star game, and now most recently the World Cup. On a team with James and Love, Irving could have the best scoring numbers among the stars since he is going to control the offense. Irving is no slouch, and is not afraid of competition, even if it is on his team.
Even James knows how competitive Irving is and said this during the Cleveland Cavaliers first day of training camp:
“I’ll probably handle the ball a little bit, but this is Kyrie’s show. He’s our point guard. He’s our floor general, and we need him to put us in position to succeed offensively. He has to demand that and command that from us with him handling the ball.”
Much excitement is in the air in Cleveland now!
