People love to think that they are better than NBA players at things. Whether it is free throws, three-pointers or 16 footers there will always be someone out there that thinks they could take a professional basketball player in a contest.

Today, James Harden is out to prove that it isn’t as easy as it may look as he takes on the entire internet in a game of Horse.

The contest, run by Foot Locker, is simple. People have been entering Vines and Instagram videos of themselves making shots over the past few days and today Harden will be taking on the challenges set by the best. If he makes a shot the internet gets a letter, if he misses Harden gets a letter.

I can’t imagine Harden losing this contest because my guess is that he, or whoever chooses the shots, takes a bunch of semi-regular ones to use for the game of Horse. What I did learn from watching a few of the shots sent in is that people apparently forget how athletic NBA players are. There are a ton of shots that are really hard for a normal person that James Harden is going to be able to do with ease. If you don’t think that James Harden can jump from behind the backboard, touch the backboard and make a layup you may have to reevaluate how athletic you think you are.

Also this kid wins the entire challenge just for putting Harden’s verse from his commercial with Stephen Curry in the background of his shot.  Well done.
