Arizona vs Oregon

This Thursday night brings us a huge match up in the Pac-12 Conference as the No. 2 ranked Oregon Ducks and Heisman hopeful Marcus Mariota will welcome in the Arizona Wildcats into Autzen. Both teams come into this one with 4-0 records on the season, and this is a bit of a redemption game for the Ducks. Last season when they went to Tucson, they were humiliated, 42-16, in one of their only two losses during the regular season.

Details for Thursday’s game are below:

Date: Oct. 2

Start Time: 10:30 p.m. ET

Location: Eugene, OR

Keys to Victory

Oregon

The Ducks, once again, are off to a fantastic start and have everyone thinking national title once again in Eugene. Offensively, they should not have a problem on Thursday night. But defensively, that’s another story altogether, especially in the secondary.

In the win over Washington State two weeks ago, the Ducks gave up 436 yards through the air, which could be a problem, if not fixed.

Arizona

The Wildcats’ passing game is the ultimate key. If Anu Solomon and the wide receiver corps can get into a groove through the air, they can fight off the Ducks.

Also, just like they did in the win last season, the defense needs to force Mariota into making mistakes. It’s highly unlikely that Arizona will win this one in blowout fashion like they did last season, but they have the blueprint to stay in the game defensively.

Betting Odds

Point Spread: Oregon -23.5

Moneyline: Arizona +1280, Oregon -2100

O/U: 79

Prediction

A lot of people who aren’t genuinely sold on Oregon every season got a lot of enjoyment out of watching Arizona stomp them down last season in Tucson.

But the fact of the matter is that the defense isn’t there this season for Arizona to get that job done again. Oregon will not only get their redemption, but they might not take their foot off the pedal.

Final Score: Oregon 62, Arizona 28
