5. Peyton Manning, QB, Denver Broncos

Five-time MVP Peyton Manning could very well be on his way to a sixth honor this season.

His Denver Broncos are one game behind the San Diego Chargers in the AFC West at 2-1 while the 38-year-old QB has thrown eight interceptions to just one pick.

Manning’s 108.5 rating is fourth-best in the league and his 271 yards per game are also good for a top 10 mark in the NFL.

Since the Broncos are expected to make the playoffs, Manning’s status as MVP will largely depend on how gaudy of numbers he can produce and what position he has Denver in going into the postseason.

My experience is that you never put the odds–or your money–against No. 18.
