Wow, what a week! 11 of the top 25 lost, so you can bet there will be a lot of moving around in my top 25 as well.

So what makes my top 25 different from everyone else? Not much, except that I put more stock into this season than last season. I don’t see a lot of outlets doing that right now.
Here is my top 25 for week 7:
1. Auburn: Won in Manhattan and thumped the number 15 team. No one else can touch what Aubie has done so far this year.
2. Mississippi State: Won at LSU, which is not easy. And you may have heard about them beating Texas A&M.
3. Mississippi: Beat a solid Boise team, and beat Alabama.
4. Florida State: They don’t look like they are having fun this year. And they have only covered one spread, which means they are underachieving a bit.
5. Notre Dame: The win over Stanford lands them in the top five.
6. Baylor: Say what you will, but the Bears survived the weekend despite their offense being dominated by Texas.
7. Alabama: Mississippi figured something out in the fourth quarter. Will it cost the Tide again?
8. Arizona: Wins are wins, and the Wildcats keep winning.
9. Michigan State: The loss in Oregon doesn’t look as good now, and they almost let it slip away against Nebraska.
10. Oregon: With a lot of other teams losing on Saturday, Oregon’s loss didn’t saturate the the landscape for very long.
11. Texas A&M: The win in Columbia isn’t looking so great right now. What do we really know about the Aggies?
12. TCU: The defense looked very good. Boykin is ten times better than he was last year. They are a team to watch in the Big 12(10).
13. Ohio State: They woke up after the Virginia Tech loss, and Barrett looks comfortable now. That is bad news for the Big Ten(14) East.
14. Kansas State: You could argue that they should be higher since they probably should have beaten my number one team.
15. Oklahoma: The defense looked average, and we have a QB that can’t throw. This won’t be the only loss for the Sooners if something doesn’t change.
16. Georgia: It isn’t so much the Bulldogs looking bad as too many other teams looking good.
17. Oklahoma State: Their only loss is to a top five team, and they smoked an Iowa State team that KSU struggled against.
18. Arizona State: Their backup QB might be better than their starter!
19. UCLA: Yeah, Utah beat the Bruins, but the Utes also lost to Washington State…..
20. East Carolina: I still can’t believe they lost to South Carolina.
21. Nebraska: They nearly came back from 24 down against a good team on the road. Forgive me for not dropping them that far.
22. Georgia Tech: They are 5-0…..
23. Utah: Their defensive front is legit. If they keep Thompson in a QB, this team could go a ways….
24. Washington: Their loss was to Stanford at least.
25(tie). Stanford: There isn’t any shame in losing to Notre Dame and USC. They just had the misfortune of playing them both early.
25(tie). Clemson: They lost to two tp 25 teams. That counts for something.
