The Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers are throwing themselves back into the rivalry already

Truly no love lost between these two teams during the off-season.

I’m currently watching two hockey games at the same time, and there’s a clear difference between the Montreal-Toronto game and the Philadelphia-Boston game. While the Toronto Maple Leafs seem determined to prove that they aren’t the choke job they were last year, and the Montreal Canadiens are playing a smooth, clean game, the other match-up… well, I can’t the same of that one.

More from Boston Bruins

Zac Rinaldo, as many would expect, has been in the middle of more than one tussle so far today. He was a bit provoked by a stick and some muttering words from Torey Krug, so he retaliated with a punch in the face, then there was more shoving on both sides throughout the period… then, the full-out brawl.

Luke Schenn and Brad Marchand seem to have had no love lost over the summer, although it seems that the Schenns in general just have something against Boston players as a whole. Even Dougie Hamilton, who has never been a Boston Bruin known for his physical play, has been getting involved. Luke Schenn and Hamilton really got into it, as mentioned above, and it’s been hit after hit from both the black and gold and the broad street bullies.
