Arian Foster and Brian Cushing are both active for the Houston Texans as they prepare for their Thursday Night Football showdown with the division rival Indianapolis Colts.

The Houston Texans are preparing themselves for a “show me” game on Thursday night against the Indianapolis Colts. Enjoying the benefits of a weak schedule thus far, the Texans will face a tough AFC South test with their first game of the year against Andrew Luck and the Colts.

To say that the Texans’ offense faces a tough test in this game would be an understatement. They have to prove that they can somehow hang with Luck and company, a group that has looked unstoppable at times this season. Ryan Fitzpatrick has proven to be limited thus far in his leadership of the Houston offense.

There is good news for the Texans on both sides of the ball on the injury front as they prepare for kickoff. Running back Arian Foster (hamstring) and linebacker Brian Cushing (knee) are both active and good to go for this game.

Foster’s health seems like it is going to be a question each and every week from here on out. That is no more popular with the Texans than with a number of grumpy fantasy football owners each week, but that is just the reality with a running back who has taken on such a heavy workload in recent seasons.

As for Cushing, he has shown time and again how important he is to this Texans’ defense. That is especially the case this season as they win with defense more than offense; they need their playmakers on defense, so it is welcome news that Cushing is good to go.
