Demaryius Thomas is set for yet another big outing
Following his breakout eight-catch, 226 yards, two touchdown performance last week against the Arizona Cardinals, Denver Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas wants to make those kinds of numbers a habit.

Thomas, who entered the season regarded as Peyton Manning’s number one target, has often been overshadowed by tight end Julius Thomas and fellow wideout Emmanuel Sanders. According to ESPN.com’s Jeff Lewwold, both Thomas and Broncos are expecting more games like this from him.
"“I am not going to say it’s easier,” Thomas said. “It’s a little different to finally go out and make plays and to do what I think I can do, go out and make plays for my team, big plays. The first three weeks I wasn’t doing that, so it was in the back of my mind and I was still beating myself up, and now after the bye week just go out and play and forget whatever happened that play and don’t worry about it.”"
Following two monster seasons in which he caught more than 90 balls for more than 1,400 yards and double-digit touchdowns, it’s safe to say that defenses have been game planning for Thomas. Because of this attention, the 26-year-old, 6-foot-3 wide out has been facing the defense’s best.
Sanders, who leads the team with 32 receptions, has actually been targeted on one fewer pass (42) than Thomas (43) this season. However, Thomas only has 21 receptions. He’s had his fair share of drops, but it does’t make his life easier when defenses are constantly throwing their best corners at you. His presence has surely helped his fellow Thomas-surname tight end, who has seven touchdowns this season on just 20 catches.
Thomas should have a big game against the New York Jets this weekend, though. Rex Ryan likes to gamble on defense, and blitz the day lights out of quarterbacks. Manning, of course, will be able to take advantage of this and attack the Jets’ struggling secondary.
