Okay, this is pretty cool.
Because Damian Lillard always partakes in #4BarFriday, there’s plenty of content swirling around on the internet of him rapping. So, if you wanted to, you could do something with those, like, say, make a song out of it. And that’s exactly what Hustle and Drone did.
For their newest song, Again & Again, they just took a number of Lillard’s raps on Instagram and mixed them with one of their instrumentals and threw in their own chorus for good measure. It isn’t something you’ll ever listen on repeat or even buy off of iTunes, but it’s pretty impressive considering what it is. I mean, snagging low quality audio of someone rapping on Instagram and turning it into a song that sounds pretty good deserves props.
Here’s what the co-founder of the group, Ryan Neighbors, had to say about the song, via Complex:
"Damian Lillard has been posting videos of himself rapping for four bars every Friday, which he refers to as ‘4 Bar Friday. I myself am a huge Blazers and Damian Lillard fan, and on top of that, he has a great flow and really cool rhymes. So I decided to go through all of them, pick the ones that flow together, and make a song out of them. And now, without further ado, here’s the song, Again & Again.
Not bad, right?
