LeBron James was taken aback by comments made by Mario Chalmers and Chris Bosh.
LeBron James’ former Miami Heat teammates haven’t exactly spoken glowingly about their time playing with the four-time MVP in recent days.
Mario Chalmers and Chris Bosh made comments warning Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love about the difficulties that come playing alongside James.
LeBron, for one, is surprised by the comments of his old running mates.
While Bosh’s and Chalmers’ comments have made headlines and apparently irked James, they are much more innocent than given credit for. While Bosh said playing with James was “frustrating” at times to Bleacher Report, he was solely speaking about the adjustments he needed to make for Miami to win. Chalmers’ comments to Cleveland.com were along the same lines.
Those aren’t critiques of James. However, they are the truth. Irving and Love won’t get as many touches this year as they’ve had in years past, just like Dwyane Wade, Chalmers, Bosh and others didn’t in Miami.
Chalmers and Bosh were simply pointing that out. But the comments aren’t being interpreted as such, which could lead to some awkward moments Saturday when the Cleveland Cavaliers and Heat face-off in preseason action.
