The Tennessee Volunteers added another four-star recruit to their 2015 class and moved into the top three recruiting classes with their latest commitment.

Micah Abernathy (Norcros, GA. Greater Atlanta Christian School) has committed to the Tennessee Volunteers on Friday morning to become the 26th member to commit to head coach Butch Jones for the 2015 class.

The four-star cornerback is the No. 182 recruit overall regardless of position, the No. 21 cornerback and the No. 19 recruit in the state of Georgia, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Tennessee has the makings of another strong recruiting class after finishing with a consensus top-10 class after Jones’ first full year on Rocky Top and now own the nation’s No. 3 ranked class, according to the 247Sports team rankings. They trail the Alabama Crimson Tide and Georgia Bulldogs for the top spot.

Despite the large class for the Vols, Abernathy is only the second cornerback to commit for this year’s class, and at 6-1, 187 pounds, Abernathy has great size and length to play the cornerback position against wide receivers who are getting bigger by the year.

Abernathy was at Tennessee last weekend for an official visit and the family has a preexisting relationship with Jones after his older brother  Ralph David Abernathy IV played the first two years under Jones’ staff at Cincinnati. There have been unconfirmed rumors that he could transfer to Tennessee this offseason after graduating this spring.
