On Thursday, a report surfaced the Georgia Bulldogs’ running back Todd Gurley

was being investigated for receiving improper benefits

. Soon it came out that Gurley

was paid to sign autographs

. A more detailed reports soon came to the forefront, stating that Gurley

had been paid $400 to sign 80 pieces of memorabilia

.

Georgia suspended Gurley indefinitely and most believed the ban would last two or three games.

However, the latest report explains that Gurley is likely going to be suspended for the rest of the season.

This will certainly have a big impact on both the College Football Playoff and the Heisman Trophy race. Georgia’s odds ton win the National title were 8/1, tied for the third-best odds with Michigan State. They have dropped to 12/1. Auburn, who plays Georgia on November 15, has seen their odds move from 6/1 to 11/2, making them the co-favorite with the Florida State Seminoles.

As for the Heisman Trophy, Gurley entered the week as the favorite with 8/5 odds. Now, he is off of the board and Mississippi State Bulldogs’ quarterback Dak Prescott is the favorite with 2/1 odds.
