College GameDay made their first trip to Ole Miss for the Rebels game vs. Alabama, could the popular ESPN pregame show be headed back in a few weeks?

The Grove may be the best tailgating venue in the nation and the country got a glimpse of the beauty and wonder when ESPN took College GameDay to Oxford, MS for the game between the Ole Miss Rebels and the Alabama Crimson Tide for the first time last week when the Rebels upset the Crimson Tide.

Ole Miss waited two decades to get GameDay to their campus, but they may not have to wait that long for a second appearance from the popular pregame show if Hugh Freeze can keep his team on the winning side of things.

The Rebels face a tough opponent in the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday from Kyle Field in College Station, Texas, but if the Rebels can stay perfect until their Nov. 1 meeting with the Auburn Tigers, College GameDay will come back to The Grove for the game if both keep winning, according to producer Lee Fitting via the Paul Finebaum Show.

If the Rebels get past the Aggies on Saturday evening, they have a home game against the Tennessee Volunteers and a road trip to the struggling LSU Tigers who have lost two in a row this season and were defeated by Ole Miss last year.

Auburn is on the road against the Mississippi State Bulldogs who are tied for the No. 3 spot in the top 25 poll after their win against Texas A&M, so naturally Ole Miss fans will be rooting for Auburn even more so this week with a shot at GameDay for the second time in four weeks.

After their game with the Bulldogs, Auburn has an open week then host the slumping South Carolina Gamecocks, so if both teams come out unscathed this weekend, there is a great chance both will be undefeated for the Nov. 1 SEC showdown between the Rebels and the Tigers.

I wonder if Katy Perry will be in town for a repeat appearance as the celebrity picker? It worked out well the first time.
