Giancarlo Stanton hit a few homers in 2014—like 37 of them.

The Miami Marlins’ All-Star led the National League in homers for the first time in his career despite (a) playing in cavernous Marlins Park for half of his games and (b) not playing after Sept. 11 after getting his face smashed by a pitch from Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Mike Fiers.

A terrific video shows every one of Stanton’s 37 homers with their distance and the cumulative distance, which gets pretty impressive as the number grows.

Stanton hit some mammoth shots. Just 24 years old, the slugger has already hammered 154 career home runs. That is the 10th most home runs for any player in major-league history through the season in which they were 24 on June 30 and the names in front of him are impressive all by themselves:

In particular, take a look at who is 14th on the list above. So, yeah, Stanton’s career is off to a pretty solid start.

Eddie Mathews finished his career with 512 home runs and is in the Hall of Fame. Mel Ott, Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Mantle, Frank Robinson, Orlando Cepeda—all ahead of Stanton on the list, are also all in the Hall of Fame.

So in the early stages of his career, Giancarlo Stanton’s in good company.
