Romo stayed on the ground and had to be looked at by the team’s medical staff.
Because of his history of back problems, there was some concern that Tony Romo may have tweaked his back. However, the quarterback has assured everyone that is not the case.
While Romo admits he may have suffered some rib damage, his back is apparently fine.
“I think my rib cartilage may have something to say about it, but we’ll see,” Romo said, via Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “I’ll go through all of this stuff [Monday]. Obviously the soreness after the game and that’s part of it. That’s fine.
“Got to go through all of the junk [Monday] and figure that out. It has nothing to do with the back, though. All of this is gravy.”
The Cowboys are riding high after the big win over Seattle, so they will hope that Romo checks out and is able to continue playing at a high level. Considering he was able to come right back into the game and make a big play to set up the game-winner for Dallas, there shouldn’t be much concern.
