Bus provides unusual ending to potential Oklahoma-Texas fan fight

The Red River Rivalry extended beyond Oklahoma’s 31-26 win over Texas last Saturday. Needless to say, the emotions ran wild afterwards, as Sooners and Longhorns fans appeared ready for a brawl that had the potential to look like the end of a WWE Monday Night Raw episode.

That is, until a tour bus decided to end matters in a loud, pronounced style.

If one looks at the video, the brawl sort of resembles how the actual football game went: Oklahoma strikes early and looks primed to turn this into a blowout. However — be they inspired by their inner Earl Campbell/Vince Young/Mack Brown — the Texas fans rise up and start chipping away at the Sooners. Suddenly, this fight could go the distance.

Just when it seems like this tussle could push into overtime, a loud horn bellows through the parking lot (if this was indeed the WWE, this would be the point where one of the heels flies from the locker room and into the ring, followed by a face that amps the crowd). As the horn gets louder and louder, the two rival factions slowly cease fire.

The tour bus makes its presence known, cutting into the scene of the fight. Without saying a word, the tour bus driver emphatically puts an end to the not-so-Royal Rumble, with the match being called a no decision.

We’re not sure if Vince McMahon had interest in any of the participants, but had he got to the video first, the only way you’d been able to see it would have been to pay $9.99 to access it via the WWE Network.
