At 3-3, what do these NFL teams need to get over the hump?

For many teams, 3-3 is an impressive outcome after six weeks of the NFL season. For others, it’s a great disappointment. But really, 3-3 is as banal a record as it gets — it’s not good and it’s not bad. So the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Houston Texans, Buffalo Bills and Pittsburgh Steelers are all caught in NFL limbo. Technically, they’re on pace to be 8-8. Teams that finish 8-8 can make the playoffs, but it’s not exactly the position they’d like to be in. Plus, none of these 3-3 teams are projected to make the playoffs this year.

It’s not a dire situation for any of them, but it is starting to get urgent. Perhaps, there’s something identifiable that could help these teams get over the hump. Perhaps, there is some part of each team’s game that could be improved that might result in the extra push the team needs to become a winning team — and not a losing one.

So what can these five teams do to improve their playoff chances? What is missing part can make the composition of their team whole?
