New Jersey lawmakers aren’t very warm to Roger Goodell after his handling of the league’s domestic violence situations and are calling for his job.
Roger Goodell is not a guy who can expect to see his name on a year end list of people everyone loves. In fact, when we get to the end of the year and it comes time to reflect on 2014, all mention of Goodell will be rather negative.

The firestorm that followed his handling of the Ray Rice domestic violence case was intense. Pundits across sports and politics were calling for Goodell’s job but nothing negative happened to the commissioner. That’s not stopping some New Jersey lawmakers from trying to push him out of office.
According to Michael Phillis from NJ.com, owners of the New York Giants and New York Jets are being urged by New Jersey lawmakers to force Roger Goodell to resign from his post as commissioner of the NFL.
"“We write to you to implore you to add your voice to the national plea for resignation of Commissioner Roger Goodell,” the letter said. “He has demonstrated lack of leadership and an absence of true understanding of how serious an issue domestic violence is in our society.”"
The letter, which calls for Goodell’s job, was signed by and passed along by Sen. Loretta Weinberg from Teaneck, and Sen. Jennifer Beck from Monmouth. It’s an issue that many still feel strongly about as the senators from New Jersey aren’t going to let Goodell walk away unscathed from this.
