The New England Patriots were apparently in a good mood after beating the New York Jets on Thursday night.

What do you do when you win a football game in the NFL?  You laugh, right?  You’re happy right?  You play pranks on teammates?  Yep, that’s what someone with the New England Patriots did to quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo sometime between when they beat the New York Jets 27-25 on Thursday night and Friday morning.  The Patriots won on a last-second blocked 58-yard blocked field goal attempt of Jets kicker Nick Folk.

When Jimmy Garoppolo arrived at his locker on Friday morning, someone changed his name plate to “Prince Aladdin”, paying homage to the Disney character.  According to NESN.com, Garoppolo had some ideas who could have played the prank on him but he was not willing to divulge any names.

No one was talking either. Cornerback Darrelle Revis, defensive end Zach Moore, or even receiver Julian Edelman would fess up to crime after being asked by reporters.

The best guess by many, including myself, is that quarterback Tom Brady had something to do with this.  He has been known to be a prankster in the past.  He once pranked quarterback Brian Hoyer when he was in New England as Brady’s backup.  He took tires off of Hoyer’s car.

Whoever committed the act, this is certainly a different atmosphere than just two and a half weeks ago after a humiliating 41-24 loss on Monday Night Football to the Kansas City Chiefs.
