Derrick Rose has barely played any basketball over the last two seasons, but he’s putting on a show for the come crowd in Chicago on Monday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Chicago Bulls fans are hoping that Derrick Rose can make a full season this year without getting injured and derailing everyone’s title hopes, but that’s going to be easier said than done.

But so far things have been pretty good for Rose, as he started out the Bulls game against teh Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night with a lighting fast layup that displayed his insane speed to the rim.

Not only did Rose dart to the rim, he did so by blowing past Kyrie Irving on his way to his first points of the night. Check out the highlight below:

This is the Derrick Rose that Bulls fans have been wanting to see for sometime now, as the team has been sorely lacking his speed off the dribble and down low in the lane. He’s made a career out of contorting his body in cartoonish fashion to make buckets, but all the time away from the game has made us forget how fast rose truly is.

If this Derrick Rose shows up all season long, then the Bulls will no doubt be favorites to challenge the Cavaliers in the Conference Finals later this season.
