The 16th-ranked Nebraska Cornhuskers kicked off another wonderful
Saturday by playing host to the Rutgers Scarlet Knights in a key Big 10 battle.
Although Nebraska already has a loss to the Michigan State Spartans, they aren’t out of the Big 10 race and could potentially find a way to sneak into the College Football Playoff (although that seems like a long-shot).
Of course, in order to do that, they have to take care of business against teams like Rutgers. Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong is trying to make sure they do. In the first quarter, he marched Nebraska 69 yards in nine plays and gave them an early 7-0 lead on a 16-yard touchdown run. It was an impressive early drive for Nebraska, who hopes to make quick work of Rutgers on Saturday.
