With Colt McCoy making his first start for the Washington Redskins and DeMarco Murray running over the league, Monday Night Football’s Redskins-Dallas Cowboys matchup was set to come down to the running backs. But for different reasons.

For the Redskins, it’s by default. Since Robert Griffin III got injured Washington has struggled to find consistency at quarterback and they’ve struggled. For the Cowboys, Tony Romo is more than capable of winning games–especially with Dez Bryant catching the ball–but that Dallas offensive line and Murray are just too good not to rely on.

Washington went up to an early 3-0 lead, but McCoy threw an interception late in the first quarter that prevented his team from extending the lead. Dallas got a touchdown out of Bryant on an awesome catch and took a 7-3 lead into halftime.

Coming out for the second half, the Redskins had to get back to riding Alfred Morris. They gave him the ball on four of eight plays and started the third quarter with a go-ahead touchdown.

Morris punched in a rushing touchdown to cap off an eight-play, 80-yard drive mid-way through the third quarter that gave Washington a 10-7 lead over the Cowboys. You can watch the play below:
