Many are expecting big things out of the New Orleans Pelicans this season, specifically from big man Anthony Davis. With point guard Jrue Holiday, power forward Ryan Anderson and shooting guard Eric Gordon all healthy, the Pelicans may be able to make a run at the playoffs.

Anthony Davis had a fantastic season last year and was even better playing for Team USA in the FIBA World Cup over the summer. Anthony Davis and the Pelicans opened the regular season Tuesday night by hosting the Orlando Magic. The Magic took an early six-point lead but it has been all Pelicans since, mostly thanks to their work on the glass and in the paint, including a beautiful left-handed put-back by Anthony Davis.
