Former star Kentucky forward Julius Randle suffered a broken leg in his NBA debut on Tuesday night, but his former head coach has all the faith in the world he’ll make a strong return.

Tuesday night was the opening night for the NBA regular season, and things already got off to a horrible start for the Los Angeles Lakers, as they were blown out by the Houston Rockets. That wasn’t the worst news, however, as late in the game rookie Julius Randle went down with a broken leg.

Well not long after the injury occurred, Randle’s former college coach at Kentucky, John Calipari, took to his twitter account to express not only how devastated he was, but how he believes that Randle will be back better than ever.

Calipari recruited Julius Randle to Kentucky, where he spent one season in 2013; and it was a successful one, to say the least. Randle and his monstrous inside presence helped lead the Wildcats to the national championship game, where they were defeated by the shocking UConn Huskies.
