You knew it was coming: Michael Vick is now the starting QB of the New York Jets, as Gang Green visits one of the most hostile environments in the NFL, Arrowhead Stadium. Laying in wait is a Kansas City Chiefs squad in need of a win in order to stay within shouting distance of both Denver and San Diego in the AFC West chase.

Keys to Victory
The Chiefs make no secret how they plan to win: run the ball, and then some. KC is ranked third in the league in rushing, as the combination of Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis have accounted for 764 yards and eight touchdowns between them. The ground assault must offset the sore arm of QB Alex Smith, who will spend the day throwing (very) short and (very) intermediate routes. Still, don’t count out the big-play potential with the Jets now that Vick is in the lineup. If he hits an early stride, that means his running skills could pave the way for deep strikes to Percy Harvin and Jeremy Curley.
Betting Odds
Point Spread: Chiefs, -9.5
Moneyline: Jets, +385, Chiefs, -460
O/U: 42
Prediction
This is an important game for the Chiefs, who face fellow AFC Wild Card contender Buffalo and defending Super Bowl champion Seattle the next two weeks. On paper, this is a cupcake, but Vick could find a touch of magic and push the Chiefs to the wire.
Final Score: Kansas City: 31, New York Jets: 21
