A San Antonio Spurs fan dressed as Tim Duncan for Halloween and it is incredible.

Going as an athlete is generally one of the worst and laziest Halloween costume choices out there.

We sports fans have all done it at some point, but simply as means to avoid wearing an actual costume. It often involves simply going to one’s closet, grabbing a jersey and, say, basketball shorts if it’s an NBA player, and calling it a day.

But one San Antonio Spurs fan has seemingly pulled off the impossible: Dressing as an athlete and it being awesome.

Yes, that is an enormous Tim Duncan costume with the fan’s head going in place of the top of the Larry O’ Brien trophy, which Duncan and his San Antonio Spurs were awarded earlier in 2014 after defeating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals.

The creativity with this costume is off the charts, so kudos to this fan for going above and beyond here. Duncan might have a personality many NBA fans would consider boring, but this fan’s costume is anything but.

This is the clear frontrunner for costume of the year in my mind.
