Dallas Cowboys’ Tony Romo And Bryce Petty Faced Similar Struggles
Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty can relate to what Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is going through with his latest back injury.
Earlier this season, Baylor quarterback Bryce Petty suffered two cracks in the transverse process in the season opener against SMU. He didn’t play the following week against Northwestern State but returned the following week and has played in every game since. Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is hoping for the same outcome.

Tony Romo suffered a pair of transverse process fractures in his back on Oct. 27 against the Washington Redskins. The Cowboys quarterback did not play in Sunday’s 28-17 loss to the Arizona Cardinals Sunday. He remains questionable for Sunday’s game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
During a Monday press conference, reporters asked Baylor’s Bryce Petty if he had any advice for Tony Romo, who’s going through a similar injury to Petty. Petty laughed saying Romo could call him.
“Everybody deals with it different,” Petty added. “What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. He’ll be fine, like I am. As far as a back injury to have, this is the one to have. It kind of heals itself. He has all the good people up there to help him out, just like I had the people down here to help [me] out.”
The Dallas Cowboys are 0-2 since starting the season 6-1 and are in dire need of a win. Hopefully for Dallas, Tony Romo is able to return healthy on Sunday and guide the Cowboys to their seventh win of the year.
