With his legal issues now resolved, Peterson is waiting to learn when he will be allowed back on the NFL field.
While Adrian Peterson awaits any news on that front, he has had a decision made regarding one of his contracts. Unfortunately for Peterson, it is likely not what he would want to hear.
On Thursday afternoon, Nike announced that they have terminated their endorsement deal with the Vikings running back.
ESPN’s Darren Rovell first reported the news.
When news of Adrian Peterson’s child abuse situation first surfaced, Nike decided to suspend their agreement. Once there was more information available and with Peterson’s decision to plea out of the charges, Nike decided it would be best to part ways.
For Peterson, his no contest plea allowed him to avoid jail time for his crime and he must now serve 80 hours of community service, pay a $4,000 fine, attend parenting classes and spend two years on probation.
