The famous pop singer that has shown his passion in love for golf over the years purchased Mirimichi Golf Course with his family in 2009. It is estimated that Justin Timberlake spent $16 million renovating the golf course into what it is today and it’s beautiful. Mirimichi was named by Golfweek as one of the “best courses you can play” in both 2013 and 2014.
Now, the only question is why would Justin Timberlake sell such a beautiful golf course that he spent millions of dollars on? And why for so cheap? The course must not have been doing so well. It’s a public golf course that charges weekend morning rates of $80 per player, and then rates then drop to $68 in the afternoon and $63 in the evening. For a beautiful public course such as itself, it’s rates aren’t ridiculous, but are a little high for a non-PGA Tour course.
Justin Timberlake has been quite the celebrity ambassador for golf in the U.S. along with Michael Jordan and he served as tournament host for the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open from 2008-2012.
