The professor done got schooled.

Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry, who is apparently not concussed, schooled Washington Wizards point guard Andre Miller aka “the professor” Friday night, crossing him up and leaving him crawling on the court.

Here is the video evidence.

Let’s break this one down, beat by beat.

Jonas Valanciunas sets the screen for Lowry. Lowry starts the go-around but Miller fights over the screen. It looks like Miller will have perfect position between Lowry and Valanciunas to defend against the pick-and-roll, but Lowry crosses over and ducks around the other side of his center. That sends Miller falling to the court–no longer in optimal position to defend what happens next.

Lowry drives the rim and the defense crashes in on him. He finds Valancuinas trailing for a wide open dunk. Two points and bragging rights. Not a bad offensive possession for the Raptors.

Lowry, who re-signed with the Raptors this offseason, is among the best point guards in the Eastern Conference. This play shows his top-notch instincts and handles.
