After a slow start to the 2013-2014 season, Rory McIlroy had a very hot summer where he recorded three straight wins and two majors including the British Open, WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the PGA Championship. With the two major victories, Rory McIlroy now has four major PGA Tour victories including two PGA Championships. In 2015, the golfer will look to win his first Masters tournament, the most prestigious of the PGA Tour major golf tournaments.

Rory McIlroy also splits time on the European Tour where he has nine wins in his career, tied with his nine wins on the PGA Tour so far in his career.

In his 2013-2014 season, McIlroy finished with three wins, two second-place finishes, 12 top-10 finishes, and 17 top-25 finishes that led him to his No. 1 World Golf Ranking. His driving distance of 310.5 yards per drive ranked third on the tour, he was first in birdie average (4.58), scoring average (68.827), and also led in regular season FedEx Cup points and was the tour’s money leader.

Rory McIlroy is trying to chase Tiger Woods as the best player in golf but he’ll have a long way to go to reach the accolades that Tiger has acquired and could continue to acquire in his career.
