Have you ever wondered where some of those disembodied decisions about NFL replays come from? This video gives you a look inside the command center.

A room full of flat screen televisions, each playing a different football game. Am I describing the perfect man cave? Not exactly. This is a place with much more stress than that, and I say that knowing full well how much some of you nuts yell at your fantasy football teams.

We are talking about the NFL command center for replays. With turnovers and scoring plays automatically reviewed, the referees on the field wait to either receive confirmation that the play is clean or instructions to go review the play further. This is the place where those decisions are made upon initial reviews of those plays.

Dean Blandino, the NFL VP of Officiating, gave an inside look at the people (yes, they are real human beings) who decide what plays should get a second look and which plays are good to go. They are looking for the same things as you, me, and every other Joe watching football on a Sunday, they just have more of a trained eye for it.
