The College Football Rankings, the latest edition, were released on Tuesday night by the esteemed members of the College Football Playoff committee, and once again, we have a shake up.
This past weekend the Auburn Tigers finally saw their string of regular season success run out. Not only did it run out for the defending SEC champions, but it ran out at home against the Texas A&M Aggies, who had been faltering as of late. But the Aggies were not faltering Saturday afternoon as they jumped out to an early lead over Auburn and were able to hold on in the end.
With that, we are guaranteed a new member within the coveted top four, but who is it? Did the Alabama Crimson Tide, following their huge overtime win over LSU, get in? Or, was it one of the Big 12 powers, either the Baylor Bears or TCU Horned Frogs.
Well the wait is over and the rankings are released, so here is what the College Football Playoff Rankings look like headed into Week 12 of the college football season.
Reminder: Both semifinal games will be played on Jan. 1.
Rose Bowl, No. 1 vs No. 4
Sugar Bowl, No. 2 vs No. 3
