The Denver Broncos are meeting with former Miami Dolphins offensive lineman and current NFL free agent Richie Incognito about a potential deal.
The Denver Broncos have gotten off to a very nice and convincing start this season, but they are always looking to acquire talent to improve their roster. It appears that they are interested in beefing up their offensive line and they have been meeting with former Miami Dolphins’ offensive lineman Richie Incognito. According to a report from Jeff Darlington, the talks seem to be progressing well between the two sides.

Incognito has been out of the league since the entire issue involving Jonathan Martin and the bullying scandal that came up. He took the fall for the majority of the issue, even though there was quite a bit of question as to whether or not he was truly guilty of what Martin accused him of doing.
Needless to say, the Broncos signing Incognito would be a very intriguing story to follow. He is a talented football player, but the off-field issues have completely clouded his career and have forced teams to steer clear of him. It would be a very bold move for the Broncos to sign him, but there is no question that he is a more than capable starter for most teams.
Richie Incognito is currently still in meetings with the Broncos today. A signing is not imminent — but “it’s going great so far,” I’m told.

This is the first real interest that a team has shown since the situation with Martin in Incognito. There have been some rumors that have been tossed around about teams potential being interested in signing him, but the Broncos appear to have legitimate interest and the two sides are in talks about a deal.
Denver is an extremely talented football team and adding Incognito to the roster would add even more talent on top of what they have. The Broncos have one goal in mind with this deal if it happens and that is keeping Peyton Manning on his feet at all times and establishing depth on the offensive line. Don’t be surprised if the two sides come to an agreement on a deal at some point in the next week or two and Incognito gets back on an NFL football field with the Broncos.
