Things couldn’t be going much better for Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback Mark Sanchez at the moment.

After having early success with the New York Jets, Sanchez turned into a laughingstock and was often criticized throughout his tenure with the Jets before they finally parted ways in the offseason.

Now that Eagels’ quarterback Nick Foles is out with a collarbone injury, Sanchez has become the starter. On Monday night, he led the Eagles to a victory. Last week, Sanchez completed 15-of-22 passes for 202 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 31-21 victory over the Houston Texans. Monday was Sanchez’s first start and he led the Eagles to a 45-21 victory over the Carolina Panthers. Sanchez completed 20-of-37 passes for 332 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions.

After the game, Sanchez held firm on a promise and visited the two most famous cheesesteak locations in the city, hitting up both Geno’s and Pat’s. Sanchez was mobbed by fans and asked to dine with several patrons, something that would have seemed absolutely baffling just a few weeks ago.
