Rapper Rick Ross is close to making a stupid $100 bet on the Cleveland Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
Here’s the surprise of the day: Rick Ross, Florida native and hip-hop superstar, is awful at judging basketball. Point-and-case?
According to a tweet from New York radio station Hot97’s official twitter account, Ross is willing to bet $100K that his Miami Heat make the playoffs while the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers miss the playoffs.

I get it. The Cleveland Cavaliers look normal. This was expected by several as superstar teams rarely come out the gates fast, the 2007-08 Boston Celtics with Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce are the exception.
And despite the Cleveland Cavaliers being off to a rocky start, this group isn’t missing the playoffs unless one of their Big 3 in LeBron James Kevin Love, or Kyrie Irving get hurt — with James and Love in the picture and the Eastern Conference looking to have improved little outside of the teams who made the playoffs last season, they could possibly make the playoffs with Kyrie Irving.
For the Miami Heat, they’re a shoe-in for the playoffs, again, barring injury.
Dwyane Wade ‘finally’ looks healthy and Chris Bosh is playing like the best power forward in the NBA not named Anthony Davis. They may not be a championship contender, but Erik Spoesltra has this team looking good without the four-time MVP.
Hopefully Ross has an advisor that’d stop him from making such a stupid decision.
I mean, if Rick Ross wants to just throw away money, I’ve the perfect person to give it to (hint: myself).
