Chicago Bears To ‘Address’ Brandon Marshall Threatening Fan On Twitter
By Sam Richmond
The Chicago Bears and Brandon Marshall are at odds over the wide receiver threatening a fan on Twitter.
The Chicago Bears are none too pleased with Brandon Marshall at the moment. But not for anything the wide receiver has done on the field.
This revolves around Marshall’s social media activity, specifically the receiver threatening to fight a Twitter troll for $25,000 on Thursday.

According to ESPN, Bears general manager Phil Emery told Marshall to “read your contract” on Friday after the Twitter incident. Bears coach Marc Trestman told the media the matter would be “addressed.”
Despite Emery’s and Trestman’s comments, Marshall is not backing down from his fight with the fan.
"“We’re going to have a nice ring. We’re going to have it at my gym. We’re going to get some gloves. We’re going to try to get maybe Showtime to come out, produce it, and try to raise a lot of money for anti-bullying because that’s where the world is going right now with Twitter and Instagram. Everybody wants to hide behind their words. Even sometimes the media wants to hide behind their words and think they’re tough guys. So this is an opportunity for [the fan] to do something really nice for some kids, but also back up his words.”"
Strangely enough, it seems Marshall believes he has the right intentions with this fight.
Regardless, this likely won’t end how the receiver wants it to.
The Bears are clearly angry with the receiver and won’t let such a fight actually happen.
The question is: Will Marshall be punished in anyway for his Twitter spat?
