Orlando Magic forward Aaron Gordon fractured his left food Saturday night, and the rest of the rookie’s NBA season is now in doubt.

Aaron Gordon injured his left foot on Saturday night, and while he will be re-evaluated by the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, his status for the rest of the season is unknown. Gordon played 14 minutes on Saturday, but ended up leaving the game with a walking boot, and now we know why:

Gordon, 19, was the fourth-overall pick in this summer’s NBA Draft by the Magic, and is considered a bit of a project on the offensive end. If he’s indeed lost for the season (which probably won’t be known until Tuesday, at the earliest), it’s a tough break for Orlando to lose a year of his development, particularly in a year when the Magic didn’t expect to make a lot of noise anyways.

Gordon has been impressive on defense, however, and had been playing fairly well in limited minutes.

Channing Frye and Tobias Harris will likely get the bulk of the minutes at power forward for Orlando until Kyle O’Quinn returns from an ankle injury.
