Justin Morneau helped the MLB All-Stars get some payback against Samurai Japan in the league’s Japan Series with a three-run home run, en route to a 6-1 MLB victory.

Justin Morneau of the Colorado Rockies hit a three-run homer to break a 1-1 tie against Samurai Japan and help lead the MLB All-Stars to a 6-1 victory in Game Four, their first win in the five-game Japan Series earlier today. It was Morneau’s second home run of the series after a two-run shot in Game Two, and a relief for the MLB team as they had been no-hit on Saturday by four pitchers in a 4-0 Game Three loss.

The MLB team had only scored four runs in the series before today’s game, but Morneau was responsible for four of the six runs; in addition to his home run, Morneau doubled in Yasiel Puig in the first inning as well. Chris Capuano pitched five innings for MLB, allowing one run on four hits and striking out four.

Morneau’s blast can be seen below:

Matt Shoemaker of the Los Angeles Angels will start Game Five for MLB, in what’s effectively a rehab outing after Shoemaker was shut down for most of the end of the season due to an injury. Shoemaker had a nice rookie season for the Angels, and gets the ball in the final game of the Japan Series (the series is five games, but not a best-of-five series).
