NFL Teams Looking At CFL Star WR Duron Carter
By Scott Allen
Canadian Football League star wide receiver Duron Carter has gained the eyes of some NFL teams
Duron Carter is one of the top stars in the Canadian Football League. He also happens to be the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter and soon he will be free to negotiate a contract with any NFL team, once his season with the Montreal Alouettes ends.

Carter’s team is in the playoffs now but he had 75 receptions for 1,030 yards and seven touchdowns in the regular season. He has had off-field troubles much like his dad did. He was a top recruit coming out of high school but he had academic issues that kept him off the field.
Now per Jason La Canfora of cbssports.com there are a number of teams who are looking very closely at Carter and may give him a look see. Those teams are rumored to be the Indianapolis Colts, Seattle Seahawks, and San Francisco 49ers. It is no coincidence that those teams could use another receiver.
I woulds say that the Colts would be the favorites to grab Carter given their situation. Another receiver could be the help they need to get over the top. Per the NFL rules, free agents from the CFL can start negotiating with the NFL on December 1st.
Being that he is Cris Carter’s son and we know the chances he was given and what he proved out to be, Duron Carter should get the same opportunity to prove himself. Given the numbers he’s put up and if he is willing to play under the set of rules and NFL teams set for him, it can be nothing but a positive for whoever signs him.
