New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick is not sure what the future holds, but he knows he wants the next two years to include him still playing football.

New York Jets quarterback Michael Vick has no idea where he will be playing in 2015.

He just knows he wants to play somewhere.

With the 2-8 Jets facing an uncertain future and Vick scheduled to be a free agent in March, the 34-year-old told NFL Media that he knows he’s not done yet.

"“I would love to play again, at least get it out of my system for two more years,” Vick said. “Because I know I got it in me.”"

Vick is scheduled to make his third straight start for the Jets, who come out of their bye week to play the Buffalo Bills at an as yet undetermined site. The game, scheduled for Buffalo, will be relocated as a result of the record snowfall totals that have buried western New York.

Vick, in his first year with the Jets after signing as a free agent in March, took over for Geno Smith as the team’s starter after Vick replaced an ineffective Smith early in a 43-23 loss to the Bills at MetLife Stadium on Oct. 26.

Vick has completed 67.4 percent of his passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns in his two starts and the Jets are 1-1 in those games.

Overall this season, Vick has hit 55.9 percent of his throws for 528 yards and three TDs with one interception. He’s also run for 149 yards. With his 39 rushing yards in a win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 9, Vick became the first quarterback in NFL history to rush for more than 6,000 yards in his career.

Of course, he’s also the only quarterback to rush for more than 5,000 yards—Randall Cunningham is No. 2 on the all-time quarterback rushing list with 4,928 yards.

Vick was the first overall pick of the Atlanta Falcons out of Virginia Tech in 2001 and sat out two seasons (2007-08) while imprisoned after pleading guilty to running a dog-fighting operation. He was with the Philadelphia Eagles from 2009-13.
