Jonas Gray is coming off the best game of his NFL career with more than 200 yards and four touchdowns for the New England Patriots last week, but now he’s missing practice and complaining about how he’s treated

More from New England Patriots

Gray was sent home by head coach Bill Belichick after Gray overslept and showed up late to practice on Friday and immediately found himself in the doghouse five days after rushing for 201 yards and four touchdowns in a breakout performance against the Indianapolis Colts.

Heck, it wasn’t a breakout performance, it was a shocking turn of events for the former practice squad running back who had 131 career yards prior to Sunday night’s game.

Considering Gray is coming off the best game of his life, it would be wise not to do anything to jeopardize his spot in the offense and one the team, right? Oversleeping and getting sent home is no one’s fault but his own, but Gray took to his twitter account to complain about how he’s being treated and could be perceived as a slight at Belichick.

Who else would be turning their back on Gray?

I’m perceiving this as a shot at his head coach who took Gray from the outhouse to the penthouse and my sleeping through his alarm is looks like Gray could find himself back there, especially after the Patriots signed LeGarrette Blount who was instrumental in the Patriots running game at the end of last season.

We could be looking at a one-hit wonder here if he doesn’t “keep it moving and grind harder.”
