San Diego Padres To Make Offer To Pablo Sandoval
By Josh Hill
Pablo Sandoval is one of the hottest names on the open market in baseball, but the San Diego Padres are looking to lure in the Panda out of nowhere.
When Pablo Sandoval hit free agency this offseason, there was immediate talk of the Boston Red Sox and other big name teams being in on getting the slugger on their roster. But out of seemingly nowhere, the San Diego Padres seem to be making a play to sign him.

There is no guarantee that the Padres will be able to land Sandoval, but that’s clearly not stopping them from trying to sign him.
According to Ken Rosenthal from FOX Sports, the San Diego Padres are planning on making an offer to Pablo Sandoval before the weekend arrive.s
There are no details on the offer, but the chances are it will be exceptionally high considering how out of left field the Padres are. Boston is a frontrunner to land Sandoval but the Padres may throw an offer at him that is so huge he can’t pass it up.
San Diego isn’t in that bad of a spot either, as landing Sandoval could help lead them to being contenders, or at least a team that free agents wouldn’t mind playing for. That’s a lot of assuming, but the Padres have a plan in throwing an offer at Sandoval and it will either work in their favor or set the market price for someone else who wants to sign him.
