Former MLB ace Curt Schilling was delayed in travel after his son accidentally brought fake grenades in his luggage at Logan International Airport in Boston.

Traveling with children has always been difficult, but the changes in air travel have made trips with youngsters even more challenging, just ask Curt Schilling.

The former Philadelphia Phillies, Arizona Diamondbacks and Boston Red Sox ace probably had an easier time traveling in his playing days than he does with his family now.

This morning, Schilling was stopped by TSA (and the bomb squad) at Logan International Airport in Boston, because of something in his son’s luggage:

Fake grenades? That’s a new one, but Schilling said once the squad realized they were dealing with toys, everything turned out OK.

This is a decidedly better public look for Schilling than arguing the merits of evolution, getting ESPN’s Keith Law suspended, or his strange stance on the police state in Ferguson, Missouri. But Schilling has always been one to run his mouth, be it for better or for the worse, so glad to see there weren’t any major issues with the flight or delays.
