Jamie Donaldson might be known for everything he did in the Ryder Cup but after the DP World Tour Championship on Saturday, he is known for his literal heroics.

Donaldson had just finished a day of shooting 67 in the round of the World Tour Championship in Dubai and had shot the winning point to secure the Ryder Cup for Europe a few months ago, so being a hero was something he had become accustomed to.

So after he finished shooting through the round, which brought him to a tie for 13th place with nine other golfers he furthered his resume as a hero. The 39-year-old golfer was on his way out when he saw a cat, yes a cat, on the clubhouse roof of Jumeirah Golf Estates, and decided he was going to save it.

The Twitter account for the European Tour even posted about their new hero, saying, “He can do no wrong right now! Jamie Donaldson shoots 67 in Dubai then saves a cat stuck on the clubhouse #Hero”

Every one knows that you cats get stuck in weird places all the time, just watch any old cartoon and you’ll probably find a cat running from a dog and getting stuck in a tree. I don’t think this cat was being chased by a dog, but maybe it just wanted to meet it’s favorite golfer who is in the midst of his best year of his career.
