It’s become somewhat of a hobby for some Philadelphia Philly fans to hate on their general manager Ruben Amaro, but one bought out an advertisement to do it this time and it’s great.

More from MLB

As mentioned, Ruben Amaro isn’t exactly the most loved guy in the City of Brotherly Love. He gets  a hefty paycheck for doing things that the fans don’t approve of, such as giving a five-year deal worth $125 million to a declining Ryan Howard in 2012.

Seeing as he isn’t liked much, some guys over at BeerLeaguer.com decided they would buy out an advertisement for Ruben Amaro’s Baseballreference.com page with a special message for their favorite GM.

It states the following:

"“BRef wanted $15 to sponsor this page, but in Reuben’s honor I ponied up $75 on a three year deal wiht a vesting option. 2015 can’t come soon enough!”"

So what I’m getting is that’s a hit toward the Howard contract that some think is way to long for the ten-year pro. This is probably one of my favorite things, the billboard message has been done and overused, this will live on Twitter forever now.

As Sports Illustrated said, I guess the fans are learning from their all-time favorite because they are spending way to much money on something they honestly do not need that much.
