Mark Snyder is out as defensive coordinator at Texas A&M after three seasons in College Station. The Aggies have the No. 105 total defense this year and his replacement could be a guy Kevin Sumlin interviewed for the job in 2012.
According to Football Scoop, Sumlin will look to fill the position with a big name, including fired Florida head coach Will Muschamp and Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi who interviewed for the job in 2012.
Muschamp’s name mentioned as a candidate should not come as a surprise as he’s built a reputation for being a great defensive-minded coach who just couldn’t hire the right offensive coordinator during his time with the Gators. However, the mention of Narduzzi is a surprise to me because I thought if he was going to leave East Lansing it would be for a head coaching position.
