Recently it was reported that there was a body found on the Ohio State campus, and the fear was that it would be found out it was that of missing Ohio State football player Kosta Karageorge.

Now, we’re learning that the body that was found on Sunday was indeed that of the 22-year-old defensive lineman.

It was then further reported that Karageorge apparently died of a simple gunshot that was self-inflicted, and the gun was found in a dumpster with Karageorge’s body.

The search had been on for Karageorge since this past Wednesday, and the Ohio State football team honored him Saturday on senior day prior to the game with the rival Michigan Wolverines.

Karageorge’s mother recently revealed that he had suffered from concussions and even recently apologized to her for being an “embarrassment.”

In addition to playing defensive line for Ohio State, he was also part of the wrestling team.

Just horrible news out of Columbus Sunday evening, and thoughts are with the Karageorge family during this difficult time, as well as the Buckeyes.
